To support elementary

support for the students’ families
Specifically, St. Simon’s works with students who are 5 to 9 years of
age (Kindergarten through 3rd grade), who’s families qualify for food
stamps, and who do not have an adult available to care for them after
school. St. Simon’s After School Program has been successfully serving
this segment of the Dallas, TX community for over 50 years.
Usually these families live in difficult
circumstances in difficult neighborhoods. They are not on welfare, they
are the working poor. They are either single parent families or dual
income families and can barely make ends meet, much less pay for
after-school care. So their children, no matter what their age, end up
at home alone.
